How You Can Help

How You Can Help.jpg

Thank you for wanting to help deserving craftsmen create a better life for their families and communities! There are several ways you can make a difference:

Donate New or Gently Used Tools

Tools for Opportunity collects new and used tools and distributes them to deserving woodworkers and seamstresses. Please see our Amazon wishlists to donate and directly ship the new woodworking and sewing tools we need the most.

If you have good, serviceable tools you’re no longer using, we will find a grateful home for them. Currently we especially need:

  • Chisels

  • Hand planes of all sizes

  • Electric drills and bits

  • Electric routers and bits

  • Carving knives

  • Turning tools

To donate your tools, call us at (515) 292-8154 or send us a message.

Send a Cash Donation

Your cash donation will help pay for costs of shipping tools to the recipients, buying needed tools that have not been donated, or providing a loan to a deserving craftsman who may need to buy materials or supplies for his business. Cash donations may be sent through the mail or conveniently through PayPal.
